Last, but not least, there's no need to post new totals for the same album while the record it's still on the charts - I won't be able to update the entire database every week, so I recommend to post total sales only for record that have already dropped the charts or are about to. This way we have a better idea of how accurate the sales are. Also, it's very important that you post the date from when you got the figure, or better saying, the date wich the sales are up to. But please, I ask you to post the exact name of the album/single/home video and if possible the release date, since we might have more than one album from the same artist with the same name. In this thread you can help the database by posting official Soundscan figures you have seen for ANY artist.
For most of the entries, I have also included the year of release from the records and the date wich the Soundscan figure is up to. The thing is pretty simple - I'm listing albums, singles and home videos with their latest soundscan sales total.
Now I think it's the time to share this with all of you so that together we can build an even larger database, just like I have also started for the sales in Brasil 4 years ago and now it's got quite big!
So, after years of following this kind of information, I have decided to make a database with all the sames I've come across on the net from Soundscan. As everybody here knows, getting Soundscan figures is nothing that easy sometimes, since the information costs a lot of many, meaning we can only count to read the sales for our favorite artists when Billboard decides to publish something or when the charts leak.
